Elisabeth Russ, soprano, sings the role of Despina
in Così fan
tutte, following her West Bay Opera debut
as Valencienne (The
Merry Widow).
Ms. Russ’ recent roles include Oscar (Un
ballo in maschera) with Pacific Repertory Opera,
Despina (Così fan tutte) with New
Jersey Opera Theater, Norina (Don Pasquale)
with Boston University Opera Theater, Papagena (Die
Zauberflöte) with Mission City Opera and
Boston Lyric Opera/Opera New England, and Pamina
(Die Zauberflöte) with Underworld Productions.
Other roles include Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro),
Flora (The Turn of the Screw), Maria (West
Side Story), and Zerlina (Don Giovanni).
Upcoming engagements include Frasquita (Carmen) with
Livermore Valley Opera and Pacific Repertory Opera.
A native of California, Ms. Russ splits her time between
the West and East Coast. She received her Bachelor
of Music from Oberlin Conservatory and was a Master
of Music candidate at Boston University. |
