John Bischoff, bass, makes his West Bay Opera debut
singing the role of Daland in Der
fliegende Holländer.
Mr. Bischoff also debuted this year as Zuniga (Carmen) with Pacific Repertory Opera, and will appear later this season as the Sacristan (Tosca) with Berkeley Opera. Other roles include Friar Lawrence (Romeo and Juliet) with Berkeley Opera, and Prince Gremin and Zaretsky (Eugene Onegin) with North Bay Opera. He has also sung comprimario roles with opera companies in Sarasota and Des Moines, and was a member of the Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Program.
In addition to opera, Mr. Bischoff spent three years performing with the men’s vocal ensemble Chanticleer and sings regularly with several professional vocal groups in the Bay Area, including the American Bach Soloists and Philharmonia Baroque Chorale. |
