Vincent Tulli Chambers, tenor, sings the role of Erik in Der
fliegende Holländer, following
his West Bay Opera debut as Turiddu in Cavalleria
rusticana and Canio/Pagliaccio in Pagliacci.
In March 2008, Mr. Chambers appeared as Rodolfo (La bohème)
with San Francisco Lyric Opera. The San Francisco native
was a winner of the DiCapo Opera Competition, and recently debuted
as Rodrigo (Otello) with the Westfield Symphony Orchestra,
and Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus) with Nevada Opera Theater.
He created the role of Ragnar Brovik in The Scaffolding,
a new opera by Martin Halperin, at the Theater for the New City
in New York, followed by Sheldon in Dinner and Delusion,
a new opera by Michael Sahl and Nancy Manocherian, at Symphony
Space and at NYU’s Skirball Center for NY City
Opera’s VOX New Opera series. Other operatic credits include
the title role in Tales of Hoffman,
Nemorino (L’elisir
d’amore), Alfredo (La traviata), the Duke
(Rigoletto),
and Beppe (Pagliacci) with regional companies including
DiCapo Opera of New York, Amato Opera Theater, Rutger’s University,
and The Opera Company of New Jersey. |
