Peter
Graham, bass-baritone, sings the role of Daland in Der
fliegende Holländer, following
his West Bay Opera debut as Don Alfonso in Così fan
tutte.
Mr. Graham made his professional opera debut in 1980 as Il Commendatore
(Don Giovanni) with the Boise Civic Opera. He has performed the roles
of Dr. Krohn in the world premiere of Susa’s Black River and
Zuniga (Carmen) with the Minnesota Opera Company, Raimondo (Lucia
di Lammermoor) with Nashville Opera, and the Old Hebrew (Samson
and Delilah) with the National Grand Opera on Long Island. He has also
sung with the Richmond Choral Society, the Bronx Opera, the Haddenfield
(NJ) Symphony, the Staten Island Chamber Players, the American Symphony
Orchestra in Avery Fisher Hall, and was a featured soloist in the
Aegean Verdi Festival on the island of Lesvos.
A native of the Pacific
Northwest, he holds a B.A. from Whitman College, and was a Pacific
Northwest Regional Winner in the 1984 Metropolitan Opera Auditions.
He moved to Germany in 1990 and this summer will appear as Angelotti
(Tosca)
with Music-Theater Saar. |
