Sharon Maxwell

Line

SharonSharon Maxwell, soprano, sings the roles of Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana and Nedda/Colombina in Pagliacci. Previous roles with West Bay Opera include Norina (Don Pasquale), Nedda (Pagliacci), Isabelle/Madeline (Mollicone, The Face on the Barroom Floor), and Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus).

Ms. Maxwell sang the roles of Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly) and Mimi (La bohème) with Bayshore Lyric Opera, Hanna (The Merry Widow) with Livermore Valley Opera, Marietta (Naughty Marietta) with Lyric Theatre of San José, Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus), Hanna (The Merry Widow), and Angelina (Trial by Jury) with Lamplighters Music Theatre, and First Lady (Die Zauberflöte) and Miss Jessel (The Turn of the Screw) with Opera San José.

Crossing over to musical theatre, Ms. Maxwell portrayed Maria (The Sound of Music) with Marin Civic Light Opera, Reno (Anything Goes) with Woodside Theatre, and Julie (Showboat) with Broadway by the Bay. She is an alumna of The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music, and was a winner in the Palm Beach Opera Vocal Competition. Upcoming engagements include Madama Butterfly with Mission City Opera in 2008.
