Tod Nixon
Tod Nixon is the sound designer for Carmen. This spring’s production of Der fliegende Holländer completed his first full season with WBO. His association with the company began in 2002 when WBO implemented its computer-controlled supertitle system using TitleDriver, software developed by Tod in 1999. Mr. Nixon has been a member of San Francisco Opera’s sound and video department since 2000. He was the sound designer for Steve Silver’s “Beach Blanket Babylon” for six years during the 1990s, where he developed the show’s first automated digital audio mixing system. His time at BBB included taking the show for an historic run at London’s Covent Garden Music Theater Festival in 1997.
