Paula Goodman Wilder, soprano, sings the role of Senta in Der
fliegende Holländer, following her West Bay Opera
debut singing the title role in Manon
Lescaut.
In the two years since her West Bay Opera debut, Ms. Wilder has
debuted as Leonora (Il trovatore) with the Berlin Konzerthaus,
and as Minnie (La fanciulla del West) with Rimrock
Opera and Opera Santa Barbara. She returned to Berkeley Opera in
the role of Minnie and to North Bay Opera as Tatyana (Eugene
Onegin). As concert soloist, she was featured with the 2006
and 2007 Mendocino Music Festivals in Stravinsky’s Three
Japanese Lyrics, Ravel’s Trois Chansons de Mallarmé,
and Janacek’s Folk Songs, with theAuburn Symphony
in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, with the Palo Alto
Philharmonic in Strauss’s Four Last Songs, and with
the Symphony of the Redwoods in Mahler’s Songs of a Wayfarer.
