Kirsten Allegri

Line

KirstenKirsten Allegri, mezzo-soprano, sings the role of Sylviane in The Merry Widow, following her West Bay Opera debut as Lady-in-Waiting in Macbeth.

This summer, Miss Allegri rejoins the Aspen Music Festival Opera Theatre Center, where she previously appeared at the Wheeler Opera House in Janácek’s Cunning Little Vixen and at Harris Concert Hall in Karl Hartmann’s five-part opera Waxworks. She recently performed as the Fairy Queen (Gilbert and Sullivan, Iolanthe) with Lyric Theatre of San José. Other operatic roles include Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), First and Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Peaseblossom and Cobweb (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Lucy (The Telephone).

Prior to her masters training at the Manhattan School of Music, Miss Allegri lived in Paris, studying French language and vocal repertoire. An avid recitalist and an enthusiast of vocal chamber works, she dedicates a large portion of her repertoire to French opera and song, and has performed in concert at the Académie Festival de Musique des Arcs in Bourg Saint Maurice, France.
