Ben Barr

Born and raised in Redding, California, Ben moved to San Francisco in 1988 to study music at San Francisco State University. In 1994, Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. He has been seen on the stages of Monterey Opera Association (The Merry Widow), The Lamplighters (H.M.S. Pinafore, Iolanthe, The Pirates of Penzance), Santa Cruz Opera (La traviata and The Magic Flute), as well as West Bay Opera (Candide, The Magic Flute, and Il trovatore). He has also participated in two of the summer operas performed at City College of San Francisco, Frida and Lost in the Stars. Ben has also performed solos with the Monterey Symphony, does the occasional recital at Star Classics record store in San Francisco, and has had extensive choral experience, including work with the San Francisco Chamber Singers.
