Anna Bjornsdotter
Anna Bjornsdotter has designed costumes both in the United States and in
her native Sweden. Her costume designs were first seen by Bay Area
audiences in the 1998 film Pink Octopus. After getting her start in film,
she moved into opera as a supervisor at the San Francisco Opera costume shop.
Her credits there include The Rakes Progress, Semele and
Die Zauberflöte.
She was also Assistant Designer to Ms. Susan Benson for San Francisco Opera's
The Ballad of Baby Doe. Her most recent design credit is the film
Practical Poses For the Practical Artist, for which she was
awarded Best Costume in the NY Polo Ralph Lauren Film Festival.
Born in Sweden, Ms. Bjornsdotter moved to the United States in 1994.
She is a graduate of the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
