Teresa Brown

Teresa Brown, soprano, makes her West Bay Opera debut singing the role of Lady Macbeth in Macbeth.

Ms. Brown recently changed from a lyric mezzo. In 2005, she sang Olga (La Grand Duchess) with Los Angeles Opera, and recently sang the Witch (Hänsel und Gretel ) with Ridgefield Opera. She has sung Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) with Nevada Opera and Opera San José, and Mrs. Noye (Britten, Noye’s Fludde) with the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, Suzuki (Madama Butterfly) with Santa Barbara Opera, and Pitti-Sing (The Mikado) with Opera Pacific. As a mezzo, she covered leading roles with Los Angeles Opera in productions of Le nozze di Figaro, Lohengrin, and Giulio Cesare. She also appeared with Sacramento Opera as Nicklausse (Les contes d’Hoffmann).

Recent career highlights have included debuts at Carnegie Hall in Mozart’s Requiem and at the Hollywood Bowl in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Ms. Brown has also appeared with the Los Angeles Master Chorale in Mozart’s Requiem, and with the Angeles Chorale in Handel’s Messiah.
