Daniel Cardwell
Daniel Cardwell, tenor, makes his West Bay Opera debut singing the role of Gherman in The Queen of Spades. Mr. Cardwell has performed such roles as Ferrando (Così fan tutte) with California State Long Beach, Rodolfo (La bohème) with Theater Latté Da in St. Paul, MN, Camille de Rosillon (The Merry Widow) with Music by the Lake in Wisconsin, and Tybalt (Roméo et Juliette), Tenore Buffo (Hugo Weisgall, Six Characters in Search of an Author), and Natanaël (Les contes d’Hoffmann) at the University of Illinois, where he received his Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and Literature. He has also sung with the Minnesota Orchestra under the direction of Osmo Vänskä in the world premiere of To Be Certain of the Dawn, an oratorio by Stephen Paulus.
