West Bay Opera
Charu Chandra
Tenor Charu Chandra's interest in opera began with a recording of
La bohème with Jose Carreras singing as Rodolfo.
He has since been studying voice informally and has sung in a number
of local recitals.
The role of Prince Yamadori with West Bay Opera marks his operatic
debut. Mr. Chandra's operatic repertoire includes this and other Italian
verismo operas. Aside from operatic interests, he is a software
professional and holds a graduate degree in Computer Science from
UC Santa Barbara.
