Kate Crowley

Kate Crowley was first introduced to opera at age eleven when she played a street urchin in a production of La bohème at the Lyric Opera in Kansas City. This is her first venture at designing an opera and she is delighted it is Carmen. She has also designed for Thick Description, Theatre Valentine, Theatre Rhino, The Aurora, Word for Word, and The Encore, among others. She is a company member of the award-winning group Rough & Tumble and also designed for Lick-Wilmerding High School. She dedicates all her work to her father, andthanks Wendy, Matthew, Cass, Joannie, and Christina.
