Robin
De Leon, soprano, makes her West Bay Opera debut in the role of Rosina
in Il barbiere di Siviglia.
Ms. De Leon’s credits include
two title roles with Arizona Opera (Roméo et Juliette and Lakmé);
Opera Pacific, Papagena (The Magic Flute); Virgina Opera, Edith
(The
Pirates of
Penzance); Desert
Opera Theatre, Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance) and Yum-Yum (The
Mikado); Guild
Opera of Los Angeles, Rosina (The Barber of Seville) and Queen
of the Night (The Magic
Flute); Sacramento Music Circus, Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady);
and Agoura Hills Starlight Theatre, Laurie (Oklahoma). Ms. De Leon’s
guest
artist appearances include UC Irvine, Gretel (Hansel and Gretel);
CSU Fullerton, Abigail (The Crucible);
Overture Company of Opera Pacific, Norina (Don Pasquale), Despina
(Così fan tutte), and Clorinda (La Cenerentola).
Concert appearances include Tucson Symphony, soprano soloist in The
Messiah;
a pop concert in the
National Theatre
of Taiwan, Taipei; and a recent 50th anniversary memorial concert
of Emmerich Kálmán’s music at UCLA. Ms. De Leon also
toured the world for six months with Cunard Cruise Lines, performing
opera favorites
and her solo cabaret act.
