Norman DeVol, tenor, makes his West Bay Opera debut singing
the roles of Chaplitsky and the Major Domo in The
Queen of Spades.
Mr. DeVol has performed in operas and concerts with many musical
organizations throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento, including
Masterworks Chorale, Mission City Opera, Berkeley Opera, Monterey
Symphony, Auburn Symphony, Camellia Symphony, Gold Country Chamber
Orchestra, Sacramento State University, Opera La Piccola Scala,
and Sierra College. He was nominated for a Sacramento regional
theater Elly Award for his 1998 performance of Rodolpho (La
bohème).
Currently a member of the San Francisco Opera Chorus, Mr. DeVol
received his BA in voice from San José State University.
He is a professional vocal coach and instructor, with students
throughout the greater Sacramento and Bay Area, and was on the
music faculty of Sierra College in Rocklin for ten years. He is
a member of the NATS and AGMA organizations. |
