Dvora Djoraev
Soprano Dvora Djoraev returns to West Bay Opera this year to sing the role of
Gilda in Rigoletto. A native of New Jersey, she received her bachelor
of music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. A prize-winner
in the East Bay Opera League vocal competition, Miss Djoraev was previously
seen at West Bay Opera in the role of Violetta in La Traviata, and
has appeared in other Bay Area productions as the Queen of the Night in
The Magic Flute, in the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor for
the San Francisco Opera Guild's Opera à la Carte program,
and as soprano soloist in televised performances of Handel's Messiah
presented by the S.F. Conservatory of Music. Earlier this season she sang
the role of Ortlinde in Die Walküre at the San Farancisco Opera,
where she has been a member of the chorus since 1993.
