Todd Donovan

Line

toddTodd Donovan, baritone, sings the role of the Impresario in Viva la mamma. Mr. Donovan performs extensively on both opera and concert stages. Previous roles with West Bay Opera include Figaro (The Barber of Seville), Amantio di Nicolao (Gianni Schicchi), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Gugliemlo (Così fan tutte), Marullo (Rigoletto), and Maximillian (Candide).

Other recent roles include Silvio (Pagliacci) with Eugene Opera and Nevada Opera, Danilo (The Merry Widow) with Pacific Repertory Opera, Escamillo (Carmen) with the Stockton Symphony, Muleteer (Ravel, The Spanish Hour) with Cinnabar Opera, and Belcore (Elixir of Love), Don Pedro (Donizetti, Maria Padilla), and Lescaut (Manon Lescaut) with Pocket Opera. Mr. Donovan recently sang excerpts from the roles of John Brown (John Brown) and Jack Absolute (Newport Rivals) in a concert of scenes from Kirke Mechem’s two newest operas with the San Francisco Lyric Chorus.

Mr. Donovan has also performed with the San Francisco Symphony, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, San Francisco Opera Center, Cincinnati Opera, Townsend Opera Players, North Bay Opera, and Sonoma City Opera. Upcoming engagements include the role of Melchior (Menotti, Amahl and the Night Visitors) with Sonoma City Opera in December.
