Robin Fisher, soprano, makes her West Bay Opera debut singing the role of Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow.

Ms. Fisher made her professional debut at the Salzburg Festival and sang with the Wuppertal Opera in Germany, where she performed roles such as Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Norina (Don Pasquale), Ännchen (Der Freischütz), and Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia). Other roles include Amor (Gluck, L’Orfeo) with Opéra Garnier in Paris and Blonde with the Smetana Opera in Prague. Most recently, she performed the roles of Frasquita (Carmen) with Sacramento Opera and Gretel (Hansel and Gretel) with Waco Lyric Opera.

A native of California, Ms. Fisher received Fulbright-Hayes and Rotary Foundation grants for advanced studies in Europe and completed the Diplom at the University of Vienna. She is currently on the faculty at Sacramento State.
