West Bay Opera
Jay Eugene Fraley
Jay Eugene Fraley is pleased to be making his Bay Area debut with
West Bay Opera in
Mahagonny. Having performed numerous roles with Portland
Opera, Jay has also been featured in Portland Opera's Opera Gala,
several Opera in the Park productions, as well as many
Portland Opera Previews. With Portland State Opera he
performed the principal role of Paolino in Cimarosa's The Secret
Marriage. In January 2000, Jay was awarded a Career
Grant from the Wagner Society of New York.
A CD featuring Mr. Fraley in the Bravo Vancouver Orchestra presentation
of Handel's Messiah is soon to be released.
With Sinfonia Concertante, under the
baton of Maestro Stefan Minde, he was the featured soloist in A Night
In Vienna and A Night In Italy. No stranger to the
recital stage, Jay has frequently joined forces with renowned pianist
Richard Bower in presenting recitals in the Portland area. Mr.
Fraley is a student of Ellen Faull.
