West Bay Opera
Alison Greene
Alison Greene, soprano, is swiftly gaining recognition for her
versatility, lyricism, and engaging stage presence. She is pleased to make
her West Bay Opera debut as Susanna, a role she first performed with North
Bay Opera in March 2001. A native of Houston, Texas, she has performed
with several other Bay Area companies, including Livermore Valley Opera,
the Stockton Opera Association, and Townsend Opera Players in roles
including Musetta, Zerlina, and Olympia. Other recent engagements include
a solo appearance with the Mendocino Music Festival Orchestra. Twice named
a Merola finalist, Ms. Greene was also chosen as a Pacific Region Finalist
in the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions. She is a graduate
from the Boston University School for the Arts, where she was a member of
the Advanced Opera Workshop in conjunction with the Opera Institute.
