Christopher Hawks

Line

ChristopherChristopher Hawks, tenor, makes his West Bay Opera debut singing the role of Njegus in The Merry Widow. He has appeared with the WBO chorus in five productions in the past two seasons.

Although only recently involved with opera, Mr. Hawks has a long history in theater. Some of his roles include Will Parker (Oklahoma!), Sir (Roar of the Greasepaint…), Oswald Alving (Ibsen, Ghosts), and Scrooge (A Christmas Carol), with a variety of theater companies. He has also been active in various musical groups, including large choral groups (SJSU Chorale, Northwestern University Chapel and Concert choirs), intimate choral groups, barbershop quartets and choruses (including competition at a national level), and early music.

Mr. Hawks received a BA in Integrated Sciences at Northwestern University. His current daytime profession is as an Embedded Software Engineer.
