Constance Howard
Constance Howard, mezzo-soprano, sings the role of Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia. Previous roles with West Bay Opera include Marthe (Faust), Madame Pernelle (Tartuffe), the Shepherd Boy (Tosca), Alisa (Lucia di Lammermoor), Dame Quickly (Falstaff), Zaida (The Turk in Italy), the Marquise de Birkenfeld (Daughter of the Regiment), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Tisbe (La Cenerentola), and Marcellina (The Marriage of Figaro).
Ms. Howard has also performed Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) and Florence Pike (Albert Herring) with Opera San José. Bay Area audiences have heard her as a soloist in Mozart’s “Great” C Minor Mass and Requiem, and in the Bach Magnificat.
