Jimmy Kansau

Jimmy Kansau is a native of Merida, Venezuela, where he works as the conductor and director of Coro de Belen, a vocal group that has toured Europe and South America performing folk and international music since 1985. He has performed as soloist in Mozrt's Requiem, Handel's Messiah, and Saint-Saëns' Christmas Oratorio. He sang the role of Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus for the 20th Anniversary of Rogue Valley Opera in Oregon and appeared as Borsa in Rigoletto for the Bear Valley Summer Music Festival. Since his enrollment at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Mr. Kansau has sung Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Don Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro, and Eisenstein. He will play the role of Judge Danforth in the upcoming Conservatory Opera Theatre production of The Crucible.
