Marla Kavanaugh
Marla was born into an operatic family in Dunedin, New Zealand, where she
often sang on television and for royalty with her identical twin sister.
Marla moved to the Bay Area in 1993, and has since performed such roles as
Monica in Menotti's The Medium, Serafina in Donizetti's
Il Campanello di notte, Mrs. Canty in the world première of
The Prince & the Pauper, and a previous outing as Paquette in
Candide. Marla has performed as a soloist for the Christchurch
Symphony Orchestra and the San Jose Wind Symphony, and is
regularly flown back to perform in festivals and events in her country of
origin.
