Estelle Kruger
South African-born soprano Estelle Kruger's recent engagements include
Della in the world première of David Conte's opera The Gift of
the Magi, Adèle in Die Fledermaus, and Handel's
Messiah. She has sung professionally in South Africa for three
years. Her operatic repertoire includes Norina in Dn Pasquale,
Stefano in Roméo et Juliette, Susanna in Le Nozze di
Figaro, Musetta, and Gilda, a role for which she won the Nederburg
prize for best opera singer of the year. Miss Kruger has a Master's
Degree in Opera Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music,
and from the Pretoria Technicon Opera School in South Africa. She studied
privately in London for one year at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
