Margaret Lisi
Margaret Lisi, mezzo-soprano, was last heard by West Bay Opera audiences
in the title role of La Cenerentola.
She has performed throughout the United States with companies
including Florida Grand Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Opera Roanoke in Virginia,
Portland Opera, Houston's Orchestra, Bohème Opera in New Jersey,
Sacramento Opera, Festival Opera of Walnut Creek, Berkeley Opera,
The Berkeley Symphony, and Pocket Opera.
Amongst the mezzo's favorite characters are Carmen , Hänsel, Cherubino,
Medea in Teseo, Dido in Dido and Aeneas,
Nicklausse, Dorabella, and Isabella in The Italian Girl in Algiers.
Recently she appeared
in the world premiere of Wuornos at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
Margaret was a Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera auditions and
First Place recipient of the East Bay Opera League Award.
