Chad Millar

Line

Chad Millar, tenor, makes his West Bay Opera debut singing the role of Lord Arturo Bucklaw in Lucia di Lammermoor. Mr. Millar is in the regular chorus at San Francisco Opera, where he has also appeared as Gastone (La traviata), Maintop (Billy Budd), Megäros, 1st Catholic Student, 1st Wittenberg Student, and Solo Tenor (Doktor Faust), and in the solo quartet in Le grand macabre.

With Santa Fe Opera, he has appeared as Da-ud (Die ägyptische Helena) and Der Narr (Wozzeck). He has sung the roles of Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) with Livermore Valley Opera, Ferrando (Così fan tutte) and Alfred (Die Fledermaus) with Mission City Opera, Edwin (Trial by Jury) and Josef (Wienerblut) with Ohio Light Opera, and Prince Ramiro (Cinderella) with Arizona Opera Tour. His other credits include Tamino (The Magic Flute), Tonio (The Daughter of the Regiment), Peter Quint (The Turn of the Screw), the Mayor (Albert Herring), and Ralph Rackstraw (H.M.S. Pinafore).

Mr. Millar’s concert credits include Handel’s Messiah with the Tucson Symphony, and Haydn’s Creation with the Australian Classical Players. Mr. Millar was a winner of the Metropolitan Opera Competition (Arizona District).
