Kenneth Morris
Mr. Morris' recent career highlights include the roles of Silas Pompton in
John Philip Sousa's The Glass Blowers and Samuel, Horace Tabor's crony,
in The Ballad of Baby Doe with New York City Opera; and Canio in
Pagliacci at Knoxville Opera. Mr. Morris made his Metropolitan Opera
debut in 1998 as the Mesenger in Aida, under the baton of Placido
Domingo. His roles at the Met have also included the 1st Student from Krakau
and the 2nd Student from Wittenberg in Busoni's Doktor Faust, and the
2nd Croupier in Prokofiev's The Gambler.
Mr. Morris debuted at San Diego Opera in 2001, also as the Messenger in
Aida.
His other credits include Don José and Turiddu with the New Jersey
Association of Verismo Opera; Pinkerton, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor,
and Arminio in Verdi's I masnadieri with New York Grand Opera; Rodolfo
and Pinkerton with New Rochelle Opera, Alfredo with The Lyric Theatre; Rodolfo
with the American Opera Project; and Cavaradossi and Alfred in
Die Fledermaus with Jersey Lyric Opera.
Upcoming engagements include ``Three Tenors'' concerts across the U.S.
