Kathleen Moss, mezzo-soprano, sings the role of Polina in The
Queen of Spades, following her West Bay Opera debut
in the role of Ninetta in La
Périchole.
Ms. Moss’s credits include Bianca
(Rape of Lucretia), Second Lady (Die
Zauberflöte), and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) with San Francisco
Lyric Opera, Anna Hope (The Mother of Us All) with San Francisco Opera,
Lola (Cavalleria rusticana) with Opera San José,
Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) and Suzuki (Madama Butterfly)
with Cinnabar Opera, Ruth (The Pirates of Penzance) and Mad Margaret
(Ruddygore) with Lamplighters, Boulotte (Bluebeard) and Maddalena
(Rigoletto) with Pocket Opera, Hansel (Hansel and Gretel) with
Opera à la Carte, Antonia’s Mother (Les contes d’Hoffman)
with North Bay Opera, and Czipra (The Gypsy Baron) with Lyric Theater
of San José.
A frequent performer of both opera and musical theater, Ms.
Moss has also appeared with American Musical Theater of San José, TheatreWorks,
42nd St. Moon, and Sacramento’s Music Circus. She also recently appeared
as the mezzo soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the
Stockton Symphony. Later this year, she will appear with Opera
San José as Suzuki (Madama
Butterfly). |
