William Neil
William Neil, bass, is well known to West Bay Opera audiences from
his portrayals of Sarastro in The Magic Flute, Leporello in
Don Giovanni, Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor,
Lindorf in The Tales of Hoffmann, Don Basilio in The Barber of Seville, Caspar in Der Freischütz, and others.
He has been a regular with
Pocket Opera, Oakland Opera, and a perennial with The Lamplighters.
He has sung in concert with the Sacramento Symphony and The San Francisco
Symphony Pops under Arthur Fiedler. He performs regularly with the
Mother Lode Troupe, a Professional touring company performing historically
accurate Gold Rush entertainment, and at times with the San Francisco Opera
Chorus.
