William Pickersgill

Mr. Pickersgill returns to West Bay Opera in the role of Ferrando, after appearing as Sparafucile in Rigoletto two seasons ago. He repeated the role of Daland in Der fliegende Holländer for the Hagen Opera in Germany, a role which he performed for the first time at West Bay Opera. Also with the Hagen Opera, Mr. Pickersgill performed roles ranging from Prince Grog in The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein to Ramfis in Aida. Upon returning to the Bay Area, Mr. Pickersgill joined the San Francisco Opera. As well as performing full-time in the chorus, he has covered many principal roles for the company. Under Donald Runnicles' baton, Mr. Pickersgill sang to critical acclaim as the Old Man in Tippett's opera King Priam with the San Francisco Opera Center.
