West Bay Opera
Stacy Rigg
Soprano Stacy Rigg, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, made her professional
debut in 1995 with the Cleveland Opera as
the First Lady in Die Zauberflöte, and then went on to perform
that role with the Nashville Opera the next year.
Following that she sang the roles of
the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors with the
Master Arts Theatrical Company,
the Governess in The Turn of the Screw and Micaëla in Carmen
with Nashville Opera, and
the soprano solo in Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass with
the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra, and most recently
Donna Anna in Don Giovanni with Opera San José.
She made her West Bay Opera debut in the role of the Governess in
The Turn of the Screw.
Her other roles include Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi,
Marenka in The Bartered Bride, Nancy in Albert Herring,
and the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro.
A recent graduate of Oberlin Conservatory,
Ms. Rigg is a winner the NATS Competition, the Dayton Opera Competition,
and the Orpheus National Vocal Competition.
