Todd Robinson
Todd
Robinson, basso-cantante, sings the role of Reverend Raimondo Bidebent
in Lucia
di Lammermoor. Last season he made
his West Bay Opera debut in the role of Leporello in Don
Giovanni .
A native of Montrose, PA, Mr. Robinson has recently appeared as Alidoro (La Cenerentola) with Arizona Opera. Some of his leading role credits include Frère Laurent (Romèo et Juliette), Lindorf/Coppélius/Dappertutto/Dr. Miracle (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte), Dr. Bartolo (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Leporello and Il Commendatore (Don Giovanni), Colline (La bohème), Sparafucile (Rigoletto), Méphistophélès (Faust), John Falstaff (The Merry Wives of Windsor), Dulcamara (L’elisir d’amore), Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte), Horace (Regina), Luka (Walton, The Bear), and Heidegger (Beeson, Dr. Heidegger’s Fountain of Youth ).
Mr. Robinson has sung roles with San Francisco Opera (cover), Opera Pacific, New National Theater Tokyo, San Francisco Opera Center, San Francisco Opera’s Western Opera Theater Tour, Opera Santa Barbara, Lyric Opera Cleveland, Pacific Repertory Opera, Merola Opera Program, and the Music Academy of the West. He is a graduate of Tri-Cities Opera Training Program. Future engagements include roles with Opera Pacific and Pacific Repertory Opera.
