Michael Rogers
Michael Rogers, baritone, sings the role of Publio in La clemenza di Tito. Previous roles with West Bay Opera include Renato (Un ballo in maschera), Escamillo (Carmen), the title role in Rigoletto, and Silvio (Pagliacci).
Mr. Rogers sang the role of Astolfo (Alcina) with the San Francisco Opera and Stankar (Stiffelio) with Donald Pippin’s Pocket Opera. He has also performed with Pacific Repertory Opera (Escamillo, Guglielmo in Puccini’s Le Villi, and Angelotti in Tosca). He was a member of the 1994 Sarasota Opera Apprentice Program. His performance credits also include Schaunard (La bohème) with the San Francisco Opera Center.
Mr. Rogers is a frequent oratorio soloist and has performed with oratorio and choral societies in the Bay Area and around California. He has recorded with the Indianapolis Symphony and has appeared in concert with the San José Symphony.
