Elisabeth Rom
Elisabeth Rom, a native of Seattle, has performed frequently throughout the
Pacific Northwest. She has been a soloist with such groups as Seattle Pro
Musica, Seattle Choral Company and Pacific Northwest Ballet, where vocal
appearances include the Nutcracker, Midsummer Night's Dream and the Northwest
Premiere of Child Alice (with music by David del Tredici). She made her
Seattle Opera debut as Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro, and in
addition, toured Washington state with the company's opera-in-schools program.
She has also been a Northwest Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera
National Council auditions as well as a prize winner in the Eleanor
Lieber/Portland Opera Vocal Competition. Other operatic appearances include
Cis in Albert Herring with the Banff Opera Festival in Alberta, Canada,
Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), and Adele in Die Fledermaus with
Townsend Opera Players and most recently, Sophie in Werther
with San Francisco Lyric Opera. She is a member of the San Francisco
Opera Chorus.
