Jason Sarten
Mr. Sarten includes in his repertoire Count Almaviva and Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro), Papageno, Dr. Falke (Die Fledermaus), Dandini (La Cenerentola), Valentin (Faust), and Marcello (La bohème), with companies including Berkeley Opera, Lamplighters Music Theatre, Opera Ft. Collins (CO), Donald Pippin’s Pocket Opera, Abilene Opera Association, Cinnabar Opera, and Bay Shore Lyric Opera. Active as a concert soloist, Mr. Sarten has performed the Requiem Masses of Mozart, Fauré, and Duruflé, Handel’s Messiah, Vaughan William’s Five Mystical Songs, Orff’s Carmina Burana, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Future engagements include Escamillo (Carmen) for Mission City Opera, Watchful the Porter in the West Coast premiere of Vaughn William’s The Pilgrim's Progress for Trinity Lyric Opera, and Whazir (Kismet) for Long Leaf Opera (NC).
