Aaron Scheidel

Tenor Aaron Scheidel is known as the ``singing farmer'', thanks to his unlikely dual occupations as a California rice farmer and opera singer! Mr. Scheidel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University at Sacramento as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Music from San Jose State University. Mr. Scheidel spent two years as an Associate Resident Artist at Opera San José. While an Associate he performed the roles of Alfred in Die Fledermaus, Monsieur Triquet in Eugene Onegin, Don Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro, and Rodolfo in La Bohème. Other operatic roles include Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with Apollo Opera and the world premiere of Debussy's opera Le Gladiateur in conjunction with the doctoral work of John Clavenger at the Eastman School of Music and the Chico Symphony. Mr. Scheidel was most recently heard as Lennie in Carlisle Floyd's Of Mice and Men.
