Dianne M. Terp

The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny marks Dianne Terp's return to West Bay Opera; she appeared as Vera Boronel in last season's The Consul. She made her San Francisco Opera debut in 1999 in Nabucco and she also sings with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus. Prior to moving to the Bay Area in 1997, Ms. Terp toured the Northeast as the Marquise of Birkenfeld in The Daughter of the Regiment with Opera New England, premiered the Voice of Polly in The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari at American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and was a soloist or featured performer in Boston Symphony's productions of L'enfant et les sotilèges, Peter Grimes at the Tanglewood Festival, and The Rake's Progress. Ms. Terp has studied at the New England - Boston Conservatory Joint Program in Opera Performance with John Moriarty, at Mannes College of Music with Dan Ferro, and at Smith College with Eloise Finardi. Currently she studies with Gregory and Marcie Stapp in San Francisco.
