Kimarie
Torre debuts with West Bay Opera as Zerlina in Don
Giovanni.
Ms. Torre recently appeared with Opera San José in
the roles of Nedda (Pagliacci), Norina (Don Pasquale),
and Marguerite (Faust). She has also appeared with North Bay Opera
as Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus); Pocket Opera as Despina (Così fan
tutte) and Wanda (Grand Duchess of Gerolstein); Cinnabar
Opera Theatre as Mimì (La bohème) and Norina (Don
Pasquale); and San Francisco Lyric Opera in the roles of Violetta (La
traviata), the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), Mimi, Norina,
and Rosina (Il
barbiere di Siviglia).
Ms. Torre is a national semi-finalist with the Zachary Opera Competition
and a National Fellowship Grant recipient of the Rehfuss Singing-Actor Awards.
She is also a featured on-screen singer in the upcoming Hollywood film Jackson,
and will debut this fall with Pacific Repertory Opera as Wewahste in the
Northern California premiere of Earle Blakeslee’s Native American
opera, Red Cloud.
