Eric Wenburg
Eric
Wenburg, bass, sings the roles of Innkeeper and Naval Captain in Manon
Lescaut. Previous roles with West Bay Opera include Tarapote
and the Second Notary in La
Périchole,
the Chief Magistrate (Un ballo
in maschera), and Frosch (Die Fledermaus).
Mr. Wenburg has also performed Mr. Bluff (The Impresario) with Stanford University, with the Lamplighters, Earnest (Pockriss, Earnest in Love), with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Victoria, Giuseppe (The Gondoliers), Sir Roderick (Ruddigore), and John Wells (The Sorcerer). With TheatreWorks, Mr. Wenburg last appeared as Seymour Krelborn (Menken, Little Shop of Horrors) and as Sheriff Reynolds in Bat Boy The Musical. At New Theater Melbourne, he wrote music for the plays Poppy by Peter Nichols and Saint Oscar by Terry Eagleton. He is a member of Theatre Bay Area.
