Emmanuel Woo
Emmanuel Woo is a Korean-born American baritone. He has performed locally
singing Valentin in Faust, Shchelkalov in Boris Godunov, and
Roberta in Tchaikovsky's Iolanta. He lived in Rome in his early
twenties and was accepted at the Santa Cecilia Conservatorio di Roma.
Since then he has continued in his study of over 40 opera in 4 different
languages. Mr. Woo holds a degree in Philosophy from U.C. Berkeley and
he completed the Opernschule Program at the Hochschule für
Musik (Prinzregenten Theater) in Munich last year. Mr. Woo now lives in
Munich, where he has recently launched a movie and film career.
Mr. Woo's operatic repertoire includes Scarpia, Iago, Rodrigo, Germont,
Figaro, Eugene Onegin, Prince Yeletsky, Tonio and Silvio, Renato, Seid,
the Doge, Amfortas, Wolfram von Eschenbach, and Alberich.
