Elena Yakoubovsky, soprano, makes her West Bay Opera debut singing
the role of Liza in The Queen
of Spades.
Ms. Yakoubovsky comes from a musical family of Russian and Neapolitan
singers and musicians. She came to the United States from her native
Chile to pursue a career in classical voice, graduating from the
University of San Francisco School of Music with a Bachelor’s Degree
in Music in 1998.
A regular performer in the Bay Area, Ms. Yakoubovsky’s
operatic roles include Tatiana (Eugene Onegin) and Christina
(Zeller, Der Vogelhändler).
In May 2007, she will be the featured soprano soloist in Mozart’s Coronation
Mass in C Major at St. Timothy’s Concert series in Danville. |
