Balbina Moscovich passed away on July 1, 2024 after a short illness. She was a healthy and extremely active 90-year-old and her death came as a shock to all of us. She was involved with West Bay Opera in many capacities, as a donor, patron and volunteer. But her most notable contributions were as Manager of the Opera in the Schools Program, and as Preview Coordinator.  She became famous for the cakes from her extensive repertoire that she baked for the receptions after the Opera Previews.  Her presence and her positive energy and commitment will be missed at the theater and a the Holt Building. She was our General Director's mother. We will dedicate the 2025 Season to her memory.
